My last wedding of the summer season started at the home of the bride surrounded by her bridesmaids, mother, and friends. I photographed the girls as the got ready to begin this very important day. As the girls continued to get ready, I snuck upstairs with the dress to hang it in the gorgeous entryway to showcase it in all of it's glory. The dress had been worn by the bride's grandmother, mother, and aunt. It fit her perfectly and created this amazingly soft vintage feeling that set the tone for the day. After the girls were ready we photographed the bride solo and with the bridesmaids under some whimsical willow trees in the yard. We then made our way to the back of the yard for some more gorgeous scenery and some veil shots of the bride.

We wrapped up at the house and made our way to the groomsmen at Memorial Park Church in Allison Park. I had been to this church before and knew that the stained glass at the friend of the room would make for some stunning photos. We quickly took photos of the groomsmen before they had to hide for the bride to enter the church. We awaited the start of the ceremony with great anticipation, as Emily entered the chapel and we watched as the excitement and joy overcame Mike's face at the sight of his bride. The ceremony was beautiful and concluded with family portraits in front of the stained glass.

We then made our way to the West End Overlook to take photos of the wedding party and the bride and the groom. The sky was incredibly blue with perfect fluffy clouds create a stunning backdrop along with the city. We took Mike & Emily to various spots at the overlook and basically put them in place and just had them interact with one another. When I photographed their engagement photos in December they made it so easy to catch tender and loving moments because they're just so comfortable and natural with one another that I just had to stand back and capture those moments! We then made our way to the LeMont in Mount Washington by way of trolley. It was a beautiful reception full of traditions, friends & family, city views, and of course dancing. The night concluded with bird seed flying through the night sky as the bride and groom made their exit! We're so glad that we got to be a part of Emily & Mike's special day!
