In the busy season of photography, you can build up sessions pretty quickly. Especially when you're fighting against Pennsylvania weather and whether or not it's going to get cold enough to snow before Thanksgiving. And of course, it did. A few weekends ago I had three sessions that we very luckily had some perfect days for outdoor shoots. One of them being Sam & Mike's engagement shoot!

Sam was in a friend of mine's wedding that I photographed last November. I just had the opportunity to take Sam & Mike's engagement photos this fall, and next year I get to photograph their wedding! I love getting the follow a couple throughout their wedding process before and the day of! We headed to South Park to the Oliver Miller Homestead for pictures. It was a bright autumn morning that created some nice light shining through the trees. We started on the hill at the Cascades that used to be a swimming area in the 30s. I've never been to this area of South Park so I was pretty excited to some an interesting new place!

After some pictures on the rocks we went down to the homestead. There is big barn with amazing wood and stone textures and another building with a bright red door. Locations like this one make it super easy to get a lot of different images in a small amount of time because there are so many amazing things in such a small area! After wrapping up at the homestead, we drove up the hill to where we saw some beautifully colored fall leaves still left on the trees. I loved all of the options in this one place. I'm always appreciative when clients show me new spots to utilize! I absolutely loved getting to photograph Sam & Mike and can't wait for their upcoming wedding! Congratulations to Sam & Mike!
