My most recent session was a family session with the Honsbergers. Family sessions are super fun for me, especially when you know the family personally. I love Kevin & Justina's little family. Their kids, Milo & Sara, have some of the biggest personalities I've seen. It's amazing how many attributes tiny people can have. Both of these kids are brave and adventurous, and they most definitely like to run around and have fun.

We met at Hartwood Acres for pictures right after a quick snowfall occurred. We started at one of the mansion doors that was conveniently decorated for the holidays. I don't have to give this family much direction. I just tell them where to go and their interactions with one another is enough to keep shooting for hours. We then ventured down to some big pine trees to play with tiny pinecones and to count how many trees there were. The kids snuggled up to mom and dad to get warm, or just ran down the hill. Both worked. We then made our way back up to the mansion to play in some windows and run around some more. And of course a session with Milo & Sara isn't complete unless they climb at least one tree.

After the tree climbing we took a few minutes to warm the kids up and get some photos of just Kevin & Justina. I'm really glad we ended with this because their personalities definitely came out in their interactions! I love just getting to put a couple somewhere and telling them to just be themselves. It's the little moments that I can get from having an outside perspective. The natural, goofy, loving, and genuine moments. I am so glad I got to photograph this family and these moments before the close of the year!
