I thoroughly enjoy photographing all types of weddings. One of my favorite aspects of photographing people is that you get to see their personalities come out in such a short time frame. Kristen & Eric's wedding was full of personal and unique touches. Their special day was held at Goodell Gardens in Edinboro, Pa. I had never heard of this venue before, but wow was it gorgeous! The entire wedding was held outside starting with a ceremony in the middle of a garden, continuing with a BBQ food truck for dinner, and ending in a stunning light strung barn for dancing and celebrating.

The scenery and an amazing bride and groom made it easy to get gorgeous images. There were so many options and I tried to take advantage of them all! I love when a couple and location inspire you and your work! The gardens included various benches covered in greenery, archways, a multitude of flowers and trees, and a giant barn. We made our way around the property making sure to capture it all! After photographing the bride and groom, we made our way to the barn for traditions, food, and first dances. In Kristen's family, the mother always removes the bride's veil and replaces it with a red rose. It was a beautiful tradition and special moment for Kristen and her mother. During the first dance and parent dances, the cracks in the walls of the barn created stunning light leaks and sunflares which are my favorite! These pictures showcase how soft and magical that day was.

The night continued with a lot of family, friends, and of course dancing! I love seeing all of the different guests styles and dance moves. The celebration throughout the night was beautiful. As the guests danced the night away, I kept an eye on the setting sun. Behind the barn and guest tent was a large open field where the sun would set right over. When the time was right, I stole the bride and groom away for a few moments alone with a gorgeous sunset. Kristen & Eric had been surrounded by their loved ones all night, so I wanted to just give them a few minutes to be together. I told them to stand in the field and just talk to each other. I stood from a distance as I watched Kristen sink into Eric's embrace, and I photographed these precious moments. After a few minutes they returned to their celebration to finish out the night surrounded by loved ones, and of course more dancing.

I absolutely adore wedding photography. There is something so special about being able to be a part of capturing a day and specific moments within that day that will forever be one of the most important in their lives. I am so thankful to all of the couples that have had me and my husband photograph their weddings, and I thank Kristen & Eric for having me capture their special day!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Fink!
